Story
Terri George, a native of Iowa, and husband Bryan George, native to Australia, have been involved in the sale and restoration of antiques and custom furniture for over 20 years. They have brought their experience to Dallas Center to open Board and Batten, LLC.
Board and Batten describes the typical Midwestern barn exterior that has vertical boards joined with small strips of wood, referred to as battens.
We sell found, refined and curated goods. Antique, primitive and vintage goods are repurposed into decorator home/design goods. A specialty selection of gift items are also available. And, custom furniture pieces can be commissioned.
Although we have antiques, we are not a typical antique store. We specialize in the blending of antiques, vintage/primitive items and even modern pieces - all of which can be used to create a broad design palette.
